Curbed LA  has written a series of articles examining how non-wealthy, non-professional-decorator renters live. So often, when opening a design or real estate magazine, you will see carefully lit photos of lavish homes that were decorated by the best decorators money can buy. Curbed LA’s article series looks at the opposite; Los Angeles renters living in beautiful apartments with sub-par interior decoration. Adrian Kudler recently toured through The Mauretania, which is located on Rossmore Avenue, and interviewed its two tenants for his article. The apartment building was commissioned by The Tin Man in the original Wizard of Oz movie, and was lived in by then senator John F Kennedy during the 1960 Democratic National Committee. You can read more about the history of The Mauretania here. To live in this fantastic historic apartment, visit our available apartments page.
